5 Ways To Look Better

One of the most important things about how you show yourself to the digital world is how nice you look.

If that’s too lame an adjective, let me fire some stronger synonyms at you: attractive, pretty, appealing, elegant, classy, ravishing etc etc. You get the idea.

There’s no excuse for putting out stuff that’s ugly, horrible, hideous or just plain awful, given the preponderance and simplicity of readily available, inexpensive (or free) tools.

Social media users are a judgmental lot, and often believe How You Do One Thing Is How You Do Everything.

This means if you look rubbish, they’ll be all-too-quick to assume the rest of your work is rubbish too.

Here are some of the tools my team uses to make us look nice:

1: www.pexels.com – effectively unlimited supply of glorious free images to download and use as you will

2: www.canva.com – funky and delightfully simple canvas for making social posts, memes, brochures and anything else you might use expensive design platforms for

3: www.kartra.com – good value email campaign software that can help your broadcasts be plain and simple or jazzy and jaw-dropping

4: www.wordpress.com – It’s been said many times, many ways, but if you can’t bring your idea to brilliant life with a WordPress website, it’s probably your idea that’s rubbish

5: www.facebook.com/simon.clements.39 – Our secret weapon, Mr Design Magic himself. Simon’s been designing our pages, socials and logos since 2019 and he an indispensable part of the team. He’s also got some crazily affordable banner deals for JHM members. Hit him up if you can’t be arsed faffing around yourself.

Here’s to you looking NICE.

Jonny

PS – The Car? Well that’s nice, isn’t it?
