You should stop marketing?
WTH, Jonny!?
Well, not completely, but you should maybe stop thinking of it as marketing, and actually get more into helping people instead.
The distinction between the two is clear, and mega-powerful.
Marketing is about YOU, your business, and getting clients.
Helping is about THEM, their challenges, and how you can solve them.
Let’s get to grips with “hard helping”, which means doing more stuff like this:
- Telling someone how you feel their pain, and you might have a useful idea for them
- Making a fuss of them when they first join your network or community
- Offering to provide a free resource that solves a problem or answers a question
- Engaging with them in post comments, adding value and offering conversations
- Posting stories about people just like them, whose lives you’ve transformed
When you view the client attraction process through the lens of helping rather than marketing, it gets a whole lot more fun.
And way easier too.
