No more work, twice the income?

Is it possible to earn double what you’re earning now, without doing any more work? 

Hell yeah, and here’s how:

Get Better At Selling

When you’re talking with a potential client – individual or corporate leader – you’ll experience a conversion rate from that conversation to a paying engagement.

That’ll be anything from 20-40% if you’re a typical coach or consultant. Sure, some might come back later, but that’s always a suboptimal long-shot.

Getting the NOW deal rate up to 40-80% of all your conversations requires some strategic thinking and maybe a bit of practice, but it doesn’t require any more work, long-term.

Here are three quick ideas that’ll elevate your conversions and earn you more money, right now:

1: Ask Better Questions. 

  • What would have to happen to make it worthwhile our working together?
  • What kind of work have you done so far towards that outcome?
  • What’s the reason it hasn’t got you where you need to be yet?

Use “What else?” repeatedly after those the three questions until there are no more answers.

2: Anticipate Objections.

Way easier than trying to overcome “need to think about it” or “can’t afford it” is using Better Questions to pre-empt what people commonly ask you. Saying “many people are concerned about the cost of these services” also shows how experienced and empathetic you are in your field.

3: Isolate The Money Discussion

Standing atop the Better Question lexicon is the one Ultimate Sales Question:

“If we can make the money work, is this something we can get started on right now?” 

This is super-critical, as a “YES” gives you an open space to negotiate terms, payment plans and even discounts (euw…lol).

Even a “NO” means you can circle back and find out what’s missing before you talk money.
