I read something recently which made me stop in my tracks.
The New York Times reported an experiment in New Zealand, where workers were given Fridays off with full pay, providing they got all necessary work done from Monday to Thursday.
Guess what?
Not only did all the work get done, but the staff were “more creative, their attendance was better, and they didn’t leave early or take longer breaks.”
Of course, they were also happier, and spent their extra day off with families, friends and just chilling out.
So, I got to thinking – those employees needed permission from someone else to transform their lives in such a positive way.
You’re self-employed, right?
Whose permission do you need?
