Jon’s made fortunes from his original “Drunken Cold email” sent to the CEO of Symantec late one Saturday evening. It got a response within hours, an engagement within days, and triggered an avalanche of blue-chip clients for his agency.
Now he’s showing others how to win business from simple, mildly amusing messages, and here’s what he taught us:
1: Escape the corporate BS, and have fun with your writing
2: You’re not paid for better skills, you’re paid for being different
3: Know what makes you interesting, and leverage it
4: The moment you sound like everyone else, you disappear
5: A client captured with humour is more fun to work with
Above all, business should be fun. If it’s not, change it.
