Here’s a quick question from writer James Clear:
“Will this matter in six months?”
And I get that, both the question and the two possible answers. Some stuff, hell, most stuff, will fade in importance very quickly. What appears to be a crisis right now may need little or no intervention from you.
It might just go away. Of course, it might not.
My ex-father-in-law used to say that whatever isn’t managed will deteriorate. And that’s also true some of the time.
So, use the “will this matter in six months?” question to help you make a decision. Whether to spend time on it, or to ignore it.
Knowing which road to take is the key to productivity, impact and wealth.
