The renowned author Anne Lamott wrote:
“A good marriage is one in which each spouse secretly thinks he or she got the better deal, and this is true also of our friendships.”
I would say that’s a good arbiter for happy financial transactions too.
- If you feel you’re getting paid more than a fair price for your services, you’ll be motivated to sustain the effort and do it again.
- If your client feels your programme is astounding value for what they got, they’ll pay willingly and entice others to do the same.
So, how do you achieve those seemingly opposing aims in one holy deal?
Simple: learn to deliver results above what they’re expecting, and practice till it’s effortlessly second nature.
In other words, get really, really, frikkin good at what you do.
That way, it’ll always seem irresistible to anyone buying it.
