It’s getting harder to be a hero.
There’s not much call for dragon-slayers in the 21st century. And the chances of most of us ever having to fight in a war, save a drowning child or rescue a damsel in distress are quite slim.
But that shouldn’t stop you doing heroic deeds. Modern heroism is an accumulation of small acts practised vigorously every day:
- Wrestling with great work that changes people’s lives
- Being relentlessly kind
- Loving unconditionally
- Overcoming disadvantage
- Resisting worthless pursuits
- Never giving up
- Creating a legacy that will substantially outlive you
Be your own super-hero. It’s what you were born for.
