“Why would I pay £3.50 for a coffee when I can make it at home for a few pennies?”
Well, here’s why.
1: If you choose your coffee-shop wisely, you’re supporting a local business which probably needs your custom.
2: If you’re drinking anything other than fresh-ground bean-to-cup in your kitchen, it’s probably rubbish. And don’t get me started on the eco-catastrophe of throwaway pods.
3: Saving £30 a month with stay-at-home coffee-breaks smacks of a scarcity mindset. There’s only so many “expenses” you can save before life becomes unbearable.
4: Adopting an abundance mindset will motivate you to earn multiples of the cost of a few great coffees each month.
5: Spending a half-hour in a different environment resets your creative juices and gets you thinking more clearly about what’s still to achieve.
6: Getting out the house means you have a chance to meet actual people. Many great friendships (and business alliances) are forged in a chance encounter over a warm brew and a convivial chat.
Any more?
