How to be highly paid

I came back from a day at Brands Hatch yesterday. Some of you may know it as a majestic racetrack for cars and bikes in the South of England.

The event was called Festival Italia, and as the name suggests, we were celebrating Italian cars. The place was filled with almost 500 Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Maseratis and some slightly less exotic Alfa Romeos and Fiats.

Lots of socialising, and a full card of racing action on the circuit.

Why am I telling you this? 

1: I was shoulder to shoulder with crowds of people who think spending £100k+ (many £300k+) of their money on a car makes perfect sense.

2: Those folks parading their Italian exotica were smart, successful and resourceful. The kind of people who invest in themselves.

3: I knew several of them personally, from my previous forays into owning and racing Italian supercars.

If I were offering life coaching, business coaching or therapy, I could easily have turned my casual conversations with them into potential business.

In the same position, no doubt you could too.

So, here’s a plan: Have a mental browse through your back catalogue of life experience, networks, connections, acquaintances, and ask:

Who’s the wealthiest group of people within my reasonable reach?

Then go hang out with them, virtually or in person, and make a point to tell them how you help people just like them.

They say your net worth’s in your network. It’s a horrible cliché that happens to be true…
