Don’t solve problems!

It’s easy to get addicted to a victim’s story, and to the adrenaline rush when everything is wrong or in chaos, and needs sorting out.

There’s a strange sort of reward – a self-satisfaction that comes from manoeuvring out of an awkward situation or solving a serious problem.

How about this for an idea?

Most of your problems are self-created, so don’t congratulate yourself for wheedling your way out of them.

Just don’t create them in the first place.
