Some useless advice

There is a lot of noise these days.

Alerts, notifications and unwanted opinions assault us visually and audibly from every new device we connect to the web.

Is it making it harder for us to make any sense of the world?

Is listening to everybody and everything numbing our ability to discern truth from fiction?
Worthless from useful?
Bad from good?

After all, if two conflicting arguments are presented at the same volume with equal vigour and credibility, how do we decide which to follow?

I have a simple filter which works, most of the time.

I only listen to people who know how to live the life I want.

Better still, they’re already living it.

Advice from most anyone else is pretty useless.
